About Me

I am a board-eligible psychiatrist who believes that good psychiatric care begins with taking the time to truly understand each patient. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based medicine, with the goal of helping patients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their treatment.I attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX where I received a full-tuition academic scholarship. I then completed my psychiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, where I had the opportunity to train across 5 different hospital systems, including the internationally recognized Menninger Clinic. This diverse training gave me broad experience caring for patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions and needs.During residency, I was honored to serve as Administrative Chief Resident, a role that allowed me to develop my leadership skills while working closely with both patients and fellow physicians. I received the prestigious Christopher D. Martin Resident of Impact Award and the Ismael Carlo VA Medical Center Award in recognition of my work. In addition, I served on resident committees and participated in multiple quality improvement initiatives focused on patient care and safety. As a psychiatrist, I strive to create a space where patients feel comfortable being open and honest about what they are experiencing. I recognize that every person’s circumstances and goals are different, and I work collaboratively with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan. When appropriate, this may include medication management, psychotherapy-informed approaches, lifestyle considerations, or coordination with other members of a patient’s care team.My practice focuses on adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions. I currently offer virtual appointments throughout Texas with the goal of eventually offering in-person appointments in the future.Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and exercising. I believe that bringing compassion, curiosity, and humanity into psychiatric care is just as important as bringing clinical expertise.I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
